Frequently Asked Questions

Can I work while I complete the program?

The MEd in Educational Leadership (K-12) program was designed to be completed while you work.

What modality options are there for the MEd in Educational Leadership program?

You may choose an online synchronous or hybrid format for your MEd in Educational Leadership. The online option gives you the flexibility to complete all coursework entirely online. The hybrid format allows for flexibility in selecting course electives and offers an on-campus experience to interact with faculty and peers.

Do I need to live in Pennsylvania to pursue the Principal Certification?

To enroll in the Principal Certification program, students must be enrolled in the hybrid format of this program and reside in the state of Pennsylvania and complete their Principal Certification coursework on campus. We recommend that students located in other states review their state’s Principal Certification requirements.

If I am enrolled as an online student, may I enroll in the Principal Certification coursework?

Yes. You may enroll in the Principal Certification coursework, but it must be taken in person.

Do you offer financial aid?

Yes! Financial aid is available for all graduate students — regardless of whether they study part time or full time, online or on campus. Students are encouraged to request federal and state financial aid by completing their FAFSA.

Students who hold a Pennsylvania teaching certification through the Pennsylvania Department of Education receive a 10% tuition discount. Lehigh University employees and their family members receive 100% tuition remission.

Lehigh University is also a Yellow Ribbon Program participant. Learn more on our veterans education benefits page. For more information about funding in general, you can visit our tuition and financial aid page.
